I didn't forget....

So things around GGG have been kind of quiet lately....a lot of it is due to me not feeling good, but also partly due to me feeling the need to step back just a little and spend some time with my family.  I'm sure things will pick back up again soon...heck, I've got Christmas dresses a-coming, but for now, we've got a winner for our GIVEAWAY!  There were 157 entries and I plugged those numbers into random.org and it gave me #12....which means Jane Perillo, you are the WINNER! :)   I'll email you soon to get the details of your custom underway!  Thanks to everyone who entered and stay tuned....there will be more giveaways coming up (like prior to Christmas)!! :)

Customs through Christmas...

Hey friends!  Okay, so let's talk customs!  In an effort to maximize efficiency, custom spots this time around will be done a little bit differently than in the past.  I will open up the next few available spots this Thursday, the 27th.  Notice I said, FEW.  I will list the spots available on Big Cartel.  Each spot will be good for one custom.  There will be a 5.00 deposit for each one.  If at any time you change your mind and decide you don't want your spot or if you decide you don't like the finished product and don't take it, the 5.00 will not be refunded.  However, if you do love and approve your custom (which I hope you will), the 5.00 will be taken off the finished product.  The rest of your invoice will be sent at the time of approval.  From now through December, my hope is that customs will be continuous...in other words I hope that they will move very quickly and spots will be revolving (as soon as a few are done a few more will be put up on Big Cartel).  In addition, RTS items will also be rotating in and out of the shop! 

On Thursday, the first few spots will be available at 10am central time.  There will also be second batch available Thursday evening at 9pm central time.  I hope that one of those times works for everyone!  These spots will only be for customs using the shirts that I have available here and will have a turnaround time of 2 weeks or less. 

If you are wanting to send me a shirt to make into a OOAK GGG piece, there will be a separate listing for those at 2pm central time on Thursday.  Those pieces I hope will also be continuous and revolving, but the turnaround on those will vary greatly depending on how quickly customers can get me their shirts.

So I'm totally exhausted and I've yet to eat dinner tonight and I know you guys don't want to read a big long post, so...............let's just get right to the point, I plugged the numbers (1-392) into random.org and it gave me back # 349..................which means the WINNER is..........................................Rhonda Hamilton Franz!!!  Congrats, Rhonda!!!  I'll be emailing you soon!  And thank you to EVERYONE who entered....don't go anywhere cause we'll do it again sometime soon! ;)

As usual, it's super late here and I'm just now gearing up for bed.  The days seem to be too short!  I want to let everyone know that I will not be taking any custom orders for the month of September.  As many of you know, I really am behind on orders and I need a chance to catch up, do a few things I'd like to do (that I KNOW you all will enjoy, too), and spend some mommy time with my littles as they go back to school.  This school year is a big one as I have one going into Kindergarten and another starting preschool (in addition to my sweet boy going into second grade) and I'd like to be able to take a little time at the beginning of this school year to volunteer in their classes and help make this transition smooth and easy on us all.  So, with that said, once August orders are done, customs will halt for just a little while.  I'll be sure to update everyone when the custom list will reopen again!  In the meantime, lots of ready to ship stuff is being sewn up and there are THREE made to order dresses set to hit the shop this month.  Fabrics for all three dresses are on order and just waiting to get them in so that I can sew up samples and get them in the shop!  I think you guys will really like them!  And now, what I know you all are really reading this blog for......time for another GGG GIVEAWAY!  Folks, this giveaway is BIG...and I hope you guys get as excited about it as I am!   The winner of the this GGG Giveaway will get 12 months of GGG for FREE (I love it cause it rhymes)!  Beginning in the month of October, the winner of this giveaway will receive a semi-custom piece of GGG each month for the next 12 months.  I say semi-custom because while the winner can request styles or graphics each month, I will make the final decision on these pieces before they go out.  That's like a YEAR worth of FREE GGG!!!!!!   To enter, please leave a comment on the blog below.  And PLEASE tell all your friends, family, strangers on the street, etc. about the giveaway and GGG...if you'd like a second entry in the contest, you'll need share on Facebook and hyperlink the GGG page to your Facebook wall (this means it should show up on the GGG page where we can all see it).  Leave a SECOND comment telling me you shared for your second entry.  The winner will be randomly selected on Friday, September 2nd (so you have plenty of time to spread the word)!  Good luck everyone! ;)

Blah, Blah, Blah.....

Mr. GGG is working now on sending out emails for the August waiting list (he has volunteered to do it and to take over most of the email correspondence so you all will get faster responses).  I want to share a few things that are on my brain as he does this....first of all, let me affirm that the Aug. waiting list IS being done differently than normal.  During the past few weeks, I have been blessed enough to receive a very large amount of emails requesting custom pieces.  And while I love and appreciate all the interest in GGG, I'm not sure I'm doing a very good job at keeping up with the demand.  In addition, I have two local craft shows coming up in October that I need to use the next couple of months to prepare for.  So, for the next 2 months, the custom system is a little different.  I used random.org to randomly select the people who are on the August list.  Fortunately, it turned out to be a nice mixture of both old and new customers.  I am also limiting the number of pieces to those on the list to two this time around.  My goal as I work through this round of customs, is to also have plenty of opportunities for you score some GGG through other methods including RTG uploads, Made To Order dresses, a few fun shirt uploads (I have some cool ideas for these), and of course, giveaways.  Please keep in mind that on top of all of this, I also will be creating for the craft shows AND most importantly, trying to spend a little extra time loving on my littles before school starts (being a mommy is my most important job of all).  A regular GGG waiting list will resume again in October in time for plenty of holiday dresses!
